Martina McKnight, Leisure Task Manager outlined the Growing Respect project which incorporated a 17 week programme, bringing together young people aged 9 to 16 years and older people, from socially disadvantaged and diverse communities across Belfast, to participate in sports and horticultural activities. The programme was divided into 11 weeks of sports and 6 weeks of horticulture, which also incorporated good relations workshops.
