Peace Programmes Learning Platform Copyright Statement
Introduction
The Peace Programmes Learning Platform (Platform) and any text, images, video, audio or other multimedia content, software or other information or material submitted to or accessible on the Platform (Content) is protected by copyright.
The Content on the Platform has been curated to provide historical content of the European Union’s PEACE Programme since its creation in 1995 and therefore the Content has been contributed by a wide range of individuals, groups and organisations.
Due to the numerous original sources of Content on the Platform, original copyright of this Content is held by a variety of sources. The SEUPB will own copyright for a significant proportion of files on the Platform and where possible, permission has been sought by the SEUPB from third parties for the files to be used on the Platform. For such third party copyrighted material, underlying copyright will remain with the original copyright holder and therefore, in such cases, the SEUPB cannot extend such third party copyright to users of the Platform.
Due to the number of copyright holders, users of the Platform may view the files from the Platform in a web browser and download and print a single copy of individual files of interest for the sole purposes of private study or personal, non-commercial use.
The use of the files on a Platform for commercial benefit is expressly prohibited, save in the event written consent is obtained from the nominated officer of the SEUPB (see Contact Details below). In the event a 3rd party wishes to obtain more than one copy of any file from the Platform, express permission will be required from the SEUPB along with the requisite permission being granted by the original copyright holder. You must not use the Platform for any other purposes.
Right to use Copyright material
In relation to copyright material which has been created pursuant to or in the course of a PEACE Programme, the SEUPB will seek to rely upon the agreed copyright positon as agreed with each Lead Partner (and Project Partners, as appropriate) detailed in Letters of Offer and their associated Terms and Conditions. Anyone wishing to make multiple copies, or to use such files or reproduce the files commercially, should contact the nominated officer of the SEUPB (see email address below).
Where the SEUPB has been responsible for writing text or articles, or taking photographs, that appear on the Platform then the copyright rests with the SEUPB. Anyone wishing to make multiple copies, or to use the files or reproduce the files commercially, should contact the nominated officer of the SEUPB (see email address below).
Where the SEUPB has commissioned or engaged a third party to produce text, photographs or videos especially for the Platform then the copyright may rest with the noted third party. Anyone wishing to make multiple copies, or to use the files or reproduce the files commercially, should contact the nominated officer of the SEUPB (address below) first and then the noted author/ copyright holder, to confirm any arrangement whereby copyright had been assigned to the SEUPB or if a licence or assignment is held for the use of such files.
Users of the Platform have the right to use a single copy of files– this right extends to files in its electronic or physical form. Such use is limited to this single use and any additional use of the files may give rise to breach of copyright.
Disclaimer
While all reasonable endeavours have been used by the SEUPB to provide accurate information on the Platform, the SEUPB assumes no responsibility for the accuracy of the information. The SEUPB may change, amend or remove the content of any page on the Platform at any time without notice.
The SEUPB shall not be liable for any indirect, special, consequential, or accidental damages including, without limitation, lost profits or revenues, costs of replacement goods, loss or damage to data arising out of the use of the Platform.
